African Tongue assists local communities and language activists to spread awareness about their language in the hopes of gaining financial and institutional support for future language development and growth - most especially for the youth.
In Platfontein, South Africa, African Tongue has worked with both the !Xun and Khwe speaking communities to create a website for each advocacy group. In doing so, an online presence in the public domain is available and creates a space for transparency and accountability for the support of each language.
